An engineering graduate and India's "top woman coder", Muskan Agrawal, secured an annual salary package of Rs 60 lakh from networking platform LinkedIn.

Not from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Muskan Agrawal, earned her Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Uttar Pradesh's Una. Ms Agrawal graduated from IIIT Una this year with a final GPA score of 9.40.

Muskan Agrawal has set a record for the highest-ever salary package secured by a student from her college, India Today reported.

Last year, another trainee from IIIT-Una secured an annual package of Rs 47 lakhs, and approximately 86 per cent of the 2019-23 batch trainees found placements in around 31 different companies, the report added.

The "top coder" was associated with Codess Cafe, a pro-bono mentorship initiative for collegiate women in technology to help them with personalized mentorship, resources and interview sessions.

Mahua Moitra Compromised National Security? What Ethics Panel Said

  1. Darshan Hiranandani lives abroad, sharing the password can lead to secret information getting into the hands of foreign agencies, the Ethics Committee has pointed out, sources said.
  2. Sharing of parliamentary login means giving passwords to unauthorized people, sources told NDTV, quoting the Parliamentary Ethics Committee. This could give them access to many sensitive documents that are shared with MPs in advance.
  3. As an example, the committee cited the Jammu and Kashmir Delimitation Bill, 2019, which was circulated in advance. Draft bills that are not available in public domain are also circulated in advance.
  4. In its report to the committee, the Union home ministry has said that as many as 20 bills, including on banning the practice of triple talaq and insolvency code, have been uploaded in portal in advance. A possible leak of such documents can threaten national security, the committee said.
  5. Circulation of MPs' passwords can also help hackers upload documents that can pose a threat to national security, sources said. It can also lead to an attack on parliament, the report has said.
  6. Sources said according to the report, Mahua Moitra's account was operated 47 times from United Arab Emirates between July 2019 and April 2023. But between 2019 and September 2023, she had visited UAE only four times. Someone from the same IP address has logged in 47 times, sources said.
  7. Fifty of the 61 questions asked by Mahua Moitra coincided with businessman Darshan Hiranandani's interests, the report said. Underscoring that it cannot investigate if Ms Moitra received cash from the businessman, the committee has asked the government to probe the money trail.
  8. Mahua Moitra has admitted to login sharing and insisted that many MPs share their log-in credentials with others. She also said that she has never asked any question in Lok Sabha at Mr Hiranandani's behest, as alleged.
  9. Mahua Moitra had walked out of the Ethics Committee meeting held last week, accusing them of asking intrusive personal questions. Ethics panel chief Vinod Kumar Sonkar accused her of non-cooperation.
  10. Businessman Darshan Hiranandani, who allegedly paid her to ask questions in parliament on his behalf to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi and business rival Adani Group, has admitted to login sharing too in an affidavit.

Apart from Gill, his teammate Mohammed Siraj, has taken the No. 1 spot in ODI Rankings for bowlers.

India, who are unbeaten in the World Cup 2023 after 8 games, are dominant when it comes to ICC rankings. While Gill and Siraj are the top-ranked players in ODIs, there are others ruling the charts in different formats too.

Gill, the right-handed batter has scored 92 against Sri Lanka and 23 against South Africa, amassing 219 runs from six innings at the event so far in the ongoing tournament.

Pakistan skipper has amassed 282 runs from eight knocks in the World Cup, falling six rating points behind Gill into second place as his more than two-year reign as the world's top ODI batter came to an end.

Siraj has had an excellent year with the ball in ODIs. Though he didn't start off on the most promising note in the World Cup, the last couple of games have seen him deliver his best. This year, he also bagged a 6-for against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final. Against the Lankans, Siraj led the charge as India decimated the same side once again.

Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are the other Indian bowlers in the top 10 places of the ODI rankings.

A Behind The Scenes Pic Featuring Ranbir Kapoor From The Sets Of Animal

A few weeks ahead of the release of the much-anticipated film of the year, Animal, a behind the scenes picture of its lead actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was circulated across social media. In the picture shared by several fan pages, Ranbir Kpaoor and his director can be seen engrossed in a conversation while sitting on chairs in the outdoors. In the picture, Ranbir can be seen in wearing a jacket and sporting one of his looks from the film Animal. Sandeep however kept it simple in a jeans and jacket.

This is the pic we are talking about:

The makers of Animal released the film's second song titled Satranga on the last week of October.  The video begins with Ranbir Kapoor's character and his love interest Rashmika Mandanna celebrating Karwa Chauth together. All's going well until Rashmika is triggered by something Ranbir says to her. The two get into a fight and Anil Kapoor, who features as Ranbir's father, intervenes. "Husband-wife's silly fight," Ranbir calls it, assuring his dad that all is ok between the two. Rashmika and Ranbir resolve their fight but only briefly. The latter sequences feature them praying together, fighting yet again. The video ends with Ranbir telling Rashmika, "I don't know if I will come back or not, but if I do not, please don't get married again."

The track has been sung by Arijit Singh. The music director for the song is Shreyas Puarnik and the lyrics are by Siddharth-Garima. Check out the song Satranga here:

Earlier, Animal  was slated to release on August 11 this year and it would have clashed with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's OMG 2. However, the makers shifted the film's release date to December this year. Gadar 2 was a smash hit at the box office, while OMG 2 was moderately successful.

Directed by Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, other than Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles.

Amazon Employee Loses Rs 1.6 Crore Stock After Refusing To Return To Office

An Amazon software-development manager who was with the tech giant for over three years decided to quit his job after the company asked him to return to the office in the US. The employee had to forego company stocks worth $200,000 (about Rs 1.6 crore). The man who has opted to stay anonymous told Insider that they were informed in May that they would need to report from the office in Seattle in June.

The employee said that they were "blindsided" by the decision and felt that it was a betrayal of the company's original promise to allow him to work remotely. "I tried negotiating. I showed them an estimate I'd received to pack up my family and move us across the country with our livestock - it would have cost $150,000 - and asked what the relocation package would look like. I didn't get an answer," they told Insider.

With mounting pressure from the company, discussions arose about employees being less productive while working from home, despite lacking any data to substantiate these claims.

"And then we were being told, 'We don't have the data, we just know it's true' -- a phrase so patently un-Amazonian that it became hard to sit there and preach leadership principles... It didn't make any sense. It still doesn't," he said.

He also revealed that he ultimately quit his job, losing $203,000 in unvested stock. The former Amazon staff member is now employed at a company with another former Amazon colleague. He mentioned that his present role offers a similar salary to his previous one, yet it's clear they cannot rival Amazon's stock options.

Amazon spokesperson Brad Glasser told Insider via email that they couldn't confirm the employee's story. He went on to say that "a single anecdote could not characterise a company of Amazon's size."

Mr Glasser added, "We've repeatedly made our position clear: In February, we shared with employees that we'd be asking them to start coming into the office three or more days per week beginning in May because we believe it would yield the best long-term results for our customers, business, and culture. As part of this process, we've asked a relatively small percentage of our team to relocate to be in the same location as their teams. This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, so team hubs and relocation timelines will vary based on a number of factors, and we're communicating with employees individually and providing relocation support. As is the case with any of our policies, we expect our team to follow them and will take appropriate action if someone chooses not to do that."
